These switches meet the piston position detection requirements of various cylinders with built-in magnets. Customers are welcome to inquire and place bulk orders.

A magnetic switch — also known as a cylinder sensor or auto switch — is mounted on the cylinder body with a built-in magnet ring. It detects the piston position through magnetic induction and outputs an electrical signal, enabling stroke end detection, reciprocating control and equipment interlocking. It is a key feedback component in pneumatic automation control systems. The models in this shipment fall into two categories:

I. Reed Switches (Contact Type)

Representative models: D-A93, D-C73 and D-Z73. These use a reed contact structure with 2-wire wiring and an indicator light, and are rated for DC24V / AC100V. They are suitable for loads such as relays and PLCs, offer simple wiring and high cost-effectiveness, and are widely used for position detection on general-purpose cylinders.

II. Solid State Switches (Non-Contact Type)

Representative models: D-M9B (2-wire), D-M9N (NPN type), D-M9P (PNP type), as well as the D-F8B, D-F8N and D-F8P series. With no mechanical contacts, they offer fast response, long service life and strong noise immunity. The 3-wire models are rated for DC5/12/24V (DC4.5–28V) with a current consumption of 10 mA or less, and are suitable for IC circuits, relays and PLCs — the preferred choice for high-frequency operations in automated equipment.

Selection Notes:

• Lead wire direction: Standard models feature in-line (horizontal) lead-out; models with a "V" suffix (e.g., D-M9BV, D-M9NV, D-M9PV) feature perpendicular (vertical) lead-out, making wiring easier in confined installation spaces.
• Cable length: Both 2-meter and 3-meter versions are available in stock (in SMC model notation, "L" indicates a 3-meter lead wire).
• 3C-certified models: 3C-D-A93, 3C-D-Z73, 3C-D-C73 and similar models are CCC (China Compulsory Certification) compliant products, which may be sold and circulated in the Chinese market as individual units, ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Specification Overview:

Applications: Widely used for stroke detection and position feedback on cylinders with built-in magnets in automated production lines, packaging machinery, assembly equipment, machine tools, pneumatic fixtures, and robot peripherals.

Selection Guide: When connecting to a PLC, choose the output type according to your PLC input module — NPN (sink) and PNP (source) outputs must match the PLC common terminal. 2-wire switches do not differentiate polarity types and are simpler to wire.
